Our Strength: Forming Networks

Forming networks inwards and outwards is one of the strengths of the IT area: the ICR sees it as its task to connect companies, sound out possibilities for cooperation and collaborate intensively on the IT networks of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The IT-Initiative of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has committed itself to that. It forms the umbrella organization of the IT branch in the northeast of Germany. The Initiative considers it its task to give information technology even more presence in the public as a core economical growth factor.

The IT branch is responsible for the creation of jobs and economic strength in the federal state: there are already over 600 businesses and institutes state-wide with more than 14 000 employees who make their living directly from the development, marketing and utilization of the IT area.

The goal of the IT-Initiative Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is to bundle strengths and in this way give the branch more weight – in concrete terms, a common booth for the federal state at CeBIT 2006 is planned. Additional orders are also to be acquired beyond the borders of the state.
